They really don't fit into the typical tourist dive shop grouping. It is difficult to categorize Andrew and Mikey at Eco Dive. I could go on about how professional Eco Dive are and how they made us feel as if we were friends from the start for a while but will end by saying, if you plan to dive Barbados, look to go with these guys first. It all worked as it should and we experienced no problems, only two days of enjoyment, enhanced by Eco Dive's staff (Andrew and Mikey) and those we dived with, Mandy and Sherwin. The equipment provided by Eco Dive (regulators weights and BCDs) were all of good quality and relatively new. The dives we had were varied and extremely enjoyable. My wife, 13 year old son and I had previously had problems on our qualifying dives with equalising and Andrew took great care to reassure us and to ensure we had no similar difficulties. We were collected from our hotel by Andrew himself and conveyed to his premises in Bridgetown where he gave what was a perfect briefing of the days events and explained clearly what to expect on our two days diving. However, from my first contact with the owner, Andrew Western, I was put at ease by his knowledgeable questions and comments in answer to my initial enquiries. ![]() ![]() ![]() Having read other reviews of diving services in Barbados, Eco Dive was one of those with good reviews but being our first 'real' dive following PADI certification, I was apprehensive.
